Install the Ceramic Tiles. Start with the center and move outwards with each ceramic tile. Use thin set mortar or tile adhesive to set the tiles, make sure that the bond between the tile and the sub-floor sets by applying pressure on each tile. After the tiles have set, complete the process by applying the grout. Remember that the grout must be of the same color as the tiles you have chosen. Remember that each step requires twenty-four hours to set and dry before allowing yourself to proceed to the next step of your ceramic tile flooring installation.
You made your decision; you are finally going to build that log home. Not just any log home, but that special creation you’ve held in your mind’s eye for so many years. You have walked on those hardwood floors, gazed out from behind those oversized picture windows, cooked dinner, curled up by the fire, and even slept in that special home - using that vivid imagination of yours. Oh yeah, you’ve been dreaming about your log home for a long time, and you have finally decided to make your dream become your reality.
Once you have identified this all-encompassing ’wish list’ you will almost certainly find yourself over budget. If money is no object - no problem, but if that Lotto jackpot has so far eluded you there are things you can do to bring that budget back in line. The most obvious and often least expensive way of doubling your floor space is to make use of the basement. A properly designed and finished basement is the perfect place to have a spare guest bedroom, home theater, hobby or play rooms, additional bathroom(s), laundry facilities or a home office.
As mentioned earlier, grout is a very porous surface. As a result, it can quickly get damaged if one uses high volumes of water during the cleaning process. To ensure superior cleaning results without using too much water, it would be best to switch to hard tile floor cleaners that generate dry steam. The low moisture content, as low as 5 percent, ensures effective cleaning of grout without posing any threat of damage to the grout surfaces. Tiled floors in kitchens, restaurants and food processing facilities generally feature high concentrations of germ and bacteria buildup. Scrubbing or the use of sanitizers may not always help eliminate germs. Thankfully, the hot steam generated by tile cleaners helps eliminate germs, mold, mildew, and bacteria from floors. Powerful anti-bacterial technologies in high-grade hard surface cleaners ensure the elimination of up to 99.99 percent of the most dangerous pathogens from tiled floors.
